Weapons
Weapons are usually associated within the Thriller genre, the props that can be used are weapons such as knives guns and axes. They have the connotations of fear, pain and death within a thriller films and they are used to create tension for the audeince. Knives are often used within thriller as they suggest a personal death due to the villain having to be close to thier victim to harm them.

Shadows
Shadowsare a huge part of theiconogrpahy in the Thriller genre as they suggest to the audeince danger and mystery and this infroms then something crucial is due to happen in a scene. The denotate evil, such as how a villian is oftern shown creeping up on thier victims.
A very famous shadow scene would be the shadow scene in Nosferatu.
Confined spaces
Confined spaces are also a convention in the thriller genre, they are used to portray the characters situation and can convey how trapped and uncomfortable a character is feeling. The director uses these scenes to portray the characters feelings but also to make the film more exciting for the audeicne as they may feel as though they are trapped too.
