Title Sequences

Here is the title sequence for Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho. It has music that builds tension and has a lot of movement with lines going through the screen constantly and words moving about, this builds up suspense. Most of Alfred Hitchcock's opening sequences have eery music in them, especially in the film Psycho.







The film Vertigo also has jumpy intense music weird imagery to give you an idea that something isn't quite right. This has a zoom that is a graphic match on a woman's eye and then turns into a spiral image.











Shutter Island shows detectives walking around a mental institute, this sets the scene and shows the film location. There are shots that flash to a key part of the film and important details that unveil the story. It has fast editing and jumpy music to
